Description: Irvine, CA - August 15, 2000 - Autobytel.com (NASDAQ: ABTL) today announced that Ann Delligatta has left her position as Chief Operating Officer as of August 15th to re-form her own consulting company. Autobytel.com will be Delligatta's first client. Delligatta will retain an office at Autobytel.com and focus on continuing to broaden the scope of Autobytel.com's relationships with dealers, manufacturers, and other automotive partners. "I originally came to Autobytel.com to do a consulting 'gig,'" said Delligatta. "I became caught up in the Autobytel.com dream of changing the world's largest business, and stayed over three years. Now I want to return to the path I had been on before I joined the Autobytel.com juggernaut. "The experience I have gained as part of the team that transformed Autobytel.com from a lead-generator to an integrated, international automotive e-commerce giant has not only been invaluable, but has also provided me with the perfect set of experiences with which to launch the next stage of my career. In my new role, I look forward to continuing to work with Autobytel.com's leaders to drive Autobytel.com even further ahead of the pack," continued Delligatta. "Ann was instrumental in the smooth transition of Autobytel.com's operations from a private to public company, strategically managing the company's phenomenal growth in this period and keeping operations in line with analysts expectations," said Mark Lorimer, Autobytel.com's President and CEO. "Ann's continued role will enable us to tap into her unique institutional knowledge as well as allow her to concentrate on further extending our products, services and relationships throughout the automobile business worldwide." Before joining Autobytel.com in 1997, Delligatta was the President of the Pharos Group, a California-based management and technical consulting firm, where she assisted companies in applying technology and effective management techniques for solving business and strategic issues. Prior to that, she was VP and General Manager of TRW's Information Systems and Services Technology organization. She was recently named by Automotive News as one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry. Delligatta joined Autobytel.com as Chief Technology Officer, where she helped take the company from a basic car-buying service to a robust e-commerce site offering integrated automotive information, as well as a variety of ancillary products. Delligatta was promoted to COO in the summer of 1998. |
