Car owners who register with MyGarage will win instant prizes and be entered in a sweepstakes to win a $250,000 garage-with a house included!*-anywhere in the United States. Additionally, visitors at CarSmart.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Autobytel.com, will also be able to register for the promotion and the service in their MyGarage area. "Although a new vehicle costs, on average, $23,600, consumers rarely manage that asset as diligently as they would a stock portfolio of similar value," said Mark Lorimer, Autobytel.com's President and CEO. "By giving away the value of a garage - with a house attached - we hope to encourage more consumers to take advantage of Autobytel.com's vehicle asset management and safety notification features by registering for MyGarage." MyGarage registered users receive automatic e-mail alerts when recall notices are issued on their vehicle, as well as personal reminders regarding maintenance and service needs. Signing up is quick and easy: once basic data, including vehicle model and mileage, is input, users will have quick access to a personalized home page that includes information regarding safety recall notices, oil change and maintenance schedules, insurance information, warranties, and parts and accessories. Users of "MyGarage" are especially appreciative of the safety recall notification service.
