Description: Irvine, CA-May 10, 2000-Autobytel.com (NASDAQ: ABTL) today announced the expansion of its dealer relations and training team with the appointments of three top-level positions. Autobytel.com has been ranked #1 in Dealer Satisfaction with Online Buying Services for three years in a row by J.D. Power and Associates.* To support the rapid growth of this successful division, Autobytel.com hired Joseph Corey as the company's new Director of Dealer and Manufacturer Relations; and has promoted Rob Lange to National Director of Dealer Training and Anthony Rinaldi to National Sales Director. "Dealers are the backbone of our business-and are a cornerstone to our success. Though we've won the J.D. Power and Associates' coveted dealer satisfaction award three years in a row, we have no intention of resting on our laurels and are continuing to expand the programs that have made us most popular with dealers," said Mark Lorimer, Autobytel.com's President and CEO. "These appointments are based on the impressive expertise and experience these three bring to Autobytel.com, as well as their recent, stellar successes." Corey comes to Autobytel.com with over 25 years of experience in the automobile industry. Prior to joining the company, he honed his strategic sales management and marketing expertise at some of the top Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Hyundai dealerships in the U.S. Corey's extensive relationships with both manufacturers and dealers are expected to successfully assist Autobytel.com with future partnerships in both categories. Lange joined Autobytel.com in February 1996 as a sales trainer after spending over 13 years in automotive sales and sales management. In January 1997, Lange authored and conducted the first Autobytel.com University Sales Training program for over 150 participants, a course which has since been recognized as the highest level of training among online buying services. He has gone on to conduct more than 100 additional two day automotive internet sales training sessions and was instrumental in the launch of I-NET Training Technologies, the next generation of online auto retailing training. As National Sales Director, Rinaldi will spearhead the development and growth of the Autobytel.com Dealer Network, which has become the most successful online automotive sales force in the industry. Rinaldi joined Autobytel.com in June 1999 as District Sales Manager of the Mid-Atlantic region and has 13 years of experience in sales, management and finance in the retail automotive industry.
