Description: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: The silky smooth V8 and the nimble handling. Least Favorite Feature: I have concerns about the reliabilty, depriciation, and the styling of the car. Advice to Buyer: Keep track of how much money you are spending on not nessecary options and gadjets! Detailed Review: The Jaguar S-type was never really anticipated. It is a cheaper alternitive to a Vanden Plas or XJ8L. By introducing this jag jaguar has slightly opened opened the size of their line of cars to Luxury coupes and convertibles, Luxury Sedans with normal and long wheel bases, and upscale luxury sedans fora cheaper price. The S-type is maybe one of the finest luxury sedans I have ever seen. Outside the front of the car received open circular headlights and a retro 60's type grill in the shape of an opal. On the back its almost simular to the XJ8L (vanden plas) sedan only the shape differences give the back a more open shape. The color of my car was a shade of white. The fit and finish were great. The hefty 4.0 Liter V8 I had my car equipped with was great. It was very silky and when mated with the 5-speed automatic with gear modes it delivered a smooth and supple ride and extremley nimble handling. Inside the leather trimed seats with power adjustments kept me very comfortable. They were firm but very supportive. The navagation helped me get where I was going. Overall it is a great Luxury car worthy of the Jaguar nameplate.
