Description: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: The VTEC engine, transmission, steering and handling, good performance, controls layout and dashboard (ergonomics), engineering and build quality Least Favorite Feature: Clearcoat paint scratches and easily dinged body and door panels Advice to Buyer: Find one that's been well taken care of and not abused and get a good price and enjoy it for years Detailed Review: Extremely well engineered car. Fit and finish are excellent. My GSR went on the race track with car club driving and time trial weekends and held together very well. It handles quite well and is very forgiving. You can tell what it's doing, which helps in keeping good control. Since it is front-wheel drive it will understeer some and this is far easier to handle than oversteer. The engine loves to rev all the way to redline and will do it all day. The transmission shifts like butter and quickly, especially if you run Redline synthetic MTL fluid. The only downside for such hard track use are the small brakes. They are excellent on the street, but get too hot on the track, eating up high-performance pads and scoring the rotors. The Type R brakes would be the upgrade to do for such enthusiastic use. For normal use, the car is a champ. Incredibly practical and flexible with the hatchback design, it'll fit a mountain bike or two or enough camping gear for two over 10 days vacation. About 30 mpg on the highway doing 70 mph. About 27-28 mpg all around. All the systems work well and the ergonomics are excellent. Even with the track use and metro city/highway driving the clutch lasted about 90,000 miles.
