Description: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: The value. Hyundai is offering a lot for a little. Least Favorite Feature: The automatic transmission doesn't react as fast as I'd like. Advice to Buyer: If you can spare the extra money, get the V6. Detailed Review: I was looking for a mid/full-size family car and was looking at the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord. While looking around at autobytel.com it mentioned the Hyundai Sonata was comprable to the Camry or Accord, so I checked it out. The main thing that attracted me was the price and the excellent warranty package. For $5,000 less than the Accord or Camry I thought I would give it a test drive. It rode as nice as the other cars I was looking at. The interior was roomy and comfortable and although I liked the styling of the Accord best, but the Sonata is definately original. Someone here mentioned people thought it was a Mercedes, and most people that see my Sonata assume it's a more expensive car than what it is. For about $15,000 I was able to get the Sonata, 4 cylynder automatic, fully loaded, with all the options, moon roof, CD player, keyless entry, etc... Everything except leather. Comprable Camry or Accord would have been aboout $20,000 Also Considered: 1999 Honda Accord 1999 Toyota Camry Vehicle Purchased: 1999 Hyundai Sonata Reviewer Information: Name - Wil Maxwell Location - Lake Villa, Illinois |
