Autobytel.com Teams with Webstakes.com for Open Road Convertible Giveaway

Description: - July 16, 1999 - Autobytel.com, the leader in automotive e-commerce and services, is launching an online promotional campaign in conjunction with Webstakes.com, a leader in online sweepstakes promotions. Autobytel.com's "Open Road" promotion utilizes Webstakes.com's expertise in online sweepstakes to raise awareness of Autobytel.com and attract new car buyers to the automotive e-commerce leader's web site. The online promotion launches in conjunction with Autobytel.com's new advertising campaign, which also begins this week, and will run through August 31, 1999. The "Open Road" grand prize is a Ford Mustang Convertible, similar to the vehicle seen in Autobytel.com's new 15- and 30-second television commercial which focuses on putting consumers in control of the car-buying and ownership process. Additional prizes include laptop computers and one year's worth of gas. Webstakes.com and Autobytel.com jointly created the promotion and Webstakes.com will continue to manage the online sweepstakes (which can be accessed at ) throughout the duration of the 8-week campaign. Webstakes.com will also feature the "Open Road" sweepstakes within it's own Auto category at and will use its proprietary iDialog direct marketing services to increase the number of visitors to the Autobytel.com site on an opt-in basis.
