Description: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Rear seat folds into floor and great air flow to all passengers. Least Favorite Feature: Sun visor extensions are worthless because of the rear view mirror, Duh? Advice to Buyer: Order now so you can move up to a top notch vehicle. Its like home on wheels. Detailed Review: We bought the LX model because frankly the EX was way out of our price range. Since there is a low supply, the price is way up, we had to pay $1800 over MSRP because they only get a few in every month and those are just sucked right up. This is a great vehicle though, very comfortable, drives like our Accord with a sharp turn radius for such a long van. The engine is whisper quiet, and you have to push on the gas to make sure the engine is running. Air conditioning vents are everywhere, one for each passenger with rear controls. No drawer under the front passenger seat is kind of annoying since there is plenty of room for one. Seats are lower than in a Caravan so you have lots of head room. Back seat is absolutely ingenius, it folds into the floor, which is much better than all the other minivans and flips over backwards for tailgate parties etc... All instruments are very similar to the Accord, highly ergonomic. Exterior is a real looker and the interior is very plush with large bucket seats and the middle ones separate or go together to make a bench type seat. Designed to run on 87 octane gas so you dont have to pay more at the pump. Order now if you want one because they normally take months to get in and the 2000 model will not be out until January or so. Sunglasses holder in the ceiling is a nice touch as is a reading light for each passenger. Great air flow all inside the van from top to bottom. Rear defrosters, tinted glass, headrests, electric rear vents, power windows, cruise, intermitent wipers, 2 power sockets, 6 cylinder are all standard even on the base model. You would need the top of the line Caravan to top the base model of the Odyssey. We love it and plan to have it for 10 years or so, and having owned a previous Honda, we know it will last that long. Negatives about the van: Sun visor extensions are useless because they block the rear view mirror, headrests are rather uncomfortable to sleep on, no drawer under passenger seat, sliding doors kind of noisy when opening/shutting. It is so beautiful, I am afraid it will get scratched if it leaves the garage. Good luck on your purchase!!
