Our 1991 Dodge Grand AWD LE has had more problems than the beaters I used to drive. Yes, the transmission had to be rebuilt at 35K, but 5 resonators, a water pump, injector work, transmission seals,and others. We bought it new in June of 1991 and in June of 1999 it has under 52,000 miles. Repair bill this month was $1,500! Odd problems like the key cylinder stopped working. The passenger door stopped latching (no adjustment) - one body shop estimate $500 to fix. This car has never been in an accident and has been well maintained. We may have to trade it in on a brand new car just to lower our costs. It will be a long time before I trust Dodge or Chrysler again.
