Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: lots of power; versatility Least Favorite Feature: very under braked Advice to Buyer: buy one. Detailed Review: I have owned the 95 Astro Van for 2 years and am completely satisfied. The 4.3l V6 has more than enough off-the-line power to satisfy even the heaviest of lead foots,as well as power o'plenty to tow large loads, transport up to 8 people comfortably or both. The 2 rear bench seats are easily removed and replaced in a mater of minutes. The interior design is admitidely not fancy, but rather open, roomy and efficient. The amount of 'stuff' the Astro can haul is absolutely amazing. Long trips are comfortable for both driver and passenger, and gas mileage is right in line for a vehicle of this size. The Astro is a hybrid of van/mini-van. It feels like you're driving a van, but smaller, easier to handle, and more comfortable. My model is white with tinted windows and mag wheels and looks spectacular. The only draw back I have found is that the braking system is under sufficient, especially with larger loads. It is my understanding that newer models are available with a beefier braking system. I would highly recomend the Astro for anyone...from someone needing lots of cargo space, a towing vehicle, or a people mover, the Astro covers it all.
