Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Incredibly comfortable seating Least Favorite Feature: The Catera has very little storage space: small glove box, unusable center console, adequate map pockets on front doors, and nice magazine pockets on rear of front seats. Advice to Buyer: Test drive the other cars in this class, but don't be put off by the Cadillac name; this is an excellent German entry-level luxury performance sedan. Detailed Review: I have found the 1999 Cadillac Catera to be extremely comfortable and spacious. Headroom and legroom are excellent in both the front and rear seats. Even with the sunroof, I have plenty of headroom and I am 6'2' tall! Driving quality is quite good; handling is excellent and performance is fairly good. Overall I am *very* impressed with this car, and chose it over the Lexus 300ES, Mercedes C Class, BMW 3-series, and Oldsmobile Aurora. Also Considered: 1999 Lexus ES 300 1999 BMW 328 1999 Mercedes-Benz C280 Vehicle Purchased: 1999 Cadillac Catera Reviewer Information: Name - Daryl Forrest Location - Lexington Park, Maryland |
