An intermittent short circuit in the air bag initiator wire that occurs between 1.5 and 1.70005 seconds after vehicle startup could lead to an inadvertent air bag deployment. Dealers will perform an electronic diagnostic check. Any short circuits identified in either the driver''s or passenger side air bag initiator wire circuit will be repaired. Owner notification is expected to begin during May-June 1999. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.
