Description: , the leader in automotive e-commerce and services, has appointed Ariel Amir Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In this position, Amir is responsible for Autobytel.com's overall legal operations, including securities matters and the structuring and implementation of strategic alliances, both domestic and international. "Ariel's expertise in handling complex corporate transactions globally for both publicly and privately held companies gives him the insight necessary to guide Autobytel.com on the legal front both domestically and internationally as we forge strategic alliances that we believe will make Autobytel the dominant force in automotive e-commerce services worldwide," said Mark Lorimer, autobytel.com inc.'s President and CEO. Prior to joining Autobytel.com, Amir served as Vice President of Security Capital Group and its affiliate, Security Capital U.S. Realty. Security capital Group is a leading public real estate company focused on strategic investment in real estate companies throughout the United States and Europe. At Security Capital, Amir was responsible for negotiating and structuring mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings. Prior to joining Security Capital, he was an attorney with the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York, where he specialized in securities and corporate law for almost a decade. A proven leader in the boardroom, Amir also brings impressive credentials from the classroom. He received an undergraduate AB in Economics from Washington University at St. Louis, earned a Masters of Science in Industrial Administration at Carnegie-Mellon's Graduate School of Industrial Administration, with an emphasis on finance, and then went on to graduate from Georgetown University Law Center with honors. |
