Description: How fast does the top operate? Chrysler estimates that the top will goe down in 10 seconds, and that was about right on our tester. What's the cowl shake like? Almost non-existent. The 2005 PT Cruiser Convertible has a very rigid frame; hundreds of hours of testing has resulted in a stiff frame. Combined with the GT's sport-tuned suspension, the PT Cruiser Convertible displays excellent road manners. How noisy is the cabin, with top up or down? Not very noisy at all; the structurally rigid design of the PT Cruiser Convertible keeps road and wind noise down significantly. How does the PT Cruiser Convertible compare to other convertibles? Favorably. Like the New Beetle Convertible, the top-up look is something to get used to, but the PT Cruiser Convertible offers class-leading interior space, plenty of power and an excellent soft top made up of three layers. |
