Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Map lights and fold down rear seats. Least Favorite Feature: The tremendous road noise for a vehicle in this class and the creaks and rattles in the interior. Advice to Buyer: There's better choices. Detailed Review: Mazda had a near miss with this vehicle as it's OK, but not 'good.' I've had mine for nearly three years now and have found it to be competent and reliable, but little more. The automatic transmission seems indecisive and often chooses the wrong gear or hesitates when the gas is stepped on. The road noise is quite loud and the interior has creaks and rattles. Handling is good, but only if you realize it will plow into each corner, but not lose grip as easiliy as you might think because it leans considerably. The verdict? It's OK, but there are better choices for the same money. Vehicle Purchased: 1997 Mazda 626 Reviewer Information: Location - Urbana, Illinois |
