Description: Irvine, CA - October 5, 1998 -Autobytel.com inc., the premier Internet car-buying service, today announced the promotion of Ann Marie Delligatta to Chief Operating Officer (COO). The former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Autobytel.com brings hands-on information technology experience as well as an extensive background in operations management to the COO position at this fast-growing e-commerce company. "Ann's appointment to COO is a direct result of her extensive achievements as CTO, a position that put her at the heart of Autobytel.com's fast-paced growth. As COO, Delligatta will oversee the day-to-day operations of Autobytel.com's U.S. organization. Delligatta originally joined Autobytel.com in June of 1997 as Chief Technology Officer where her responsibilities included all projects within Autobytel.com's Information Technology department, such as website development, database and network applications. During her tenure as CTO, Autobytel.com's IT department has launched numerous enhancements to both its technological infrastructure and website functionality. Delligatta brings over twenty years of experience in a wide range of industries, including financial services, direct marketing, aerospace and management consulting, to the Autobytel.com COO position. Previously, Delligatta worked as Vice President and General Manager of Information Technology Services for TRW Information Systems and Services. Delligatta is in demand as a speaker on issues of Internet commerce and the challenges of running a leading-edge technology company. In 1996, Delligatta was named by McGraw-Hill Companies as one of the Top 100 Women in Computing in recognition of her success in the alignment of business and technology strategies. |
