Description: Irvine, CA, July 13, 1998 - Charles (Chick) Ramsay joins Autobytel.com () as Vice President of Dealer and Manufacturer Relations. Ramsay is charged with redefining Autobytel.com's relationships with manufacturers while working closely with the Autobytel.com Accredited Dealer Network to ensure its continued success. "Chick adds a new point of view to the Autobytel.com management team," said Mark W. Lorimer, President and CEO of Autobytel.com. "Coming to us directly from Toyota Motor Sales' Lexus Division, Chick is uniquely aware of the manufacturers' perspective and is well suited to facilitate dialog with them about the changes occurring in our industry." Ramsay most recently was the Corporate Dealer Development Manager at Toyota's Lexus Division, and prior to that held numerous positions within Toyota Motor Sales, USA., including General Manager of the San Francisco region. He began his career in the automotive industry at Ford Motor Company in 1971 where he held various field sales positions in both the Ford and Lincoln-Mercury divisions. Ramsay's extensive experience working with hundreds of dealerships over his twenty-five years at Ford and Toyota gives him unique insight into factory-to-dealer distribution channels, experience he will use in working with the Autobytel.com Accredited Dealer Network.
