Description: Irvine, CA- January 12, 1999 Autobytel.com inc., the premier Internet car-buying service, today announced the appointment of Hoshi Printer as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "It pleases me greatly to name such a seasoned executive to this position," said Mark W. Lorimer, President and CEO of autobytel.com inc. "Hoshi's extensive background in the financial arena of the high-tech industry will help Autobytel.com reach the next level." Printer comes to Autobytel.com with nearly 30 years experience in financial management and administration. Most recently, Printer served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance Administration of Peerless Systems Corporation, a leader in embedded imaging systems. Printer has also held the CFO post at a number of other high-tech companies, including Neuron Data, developers of high-end, enterprise-wide client-server, object and web oriented tools; Soane Technologies, Inc., an ophthalmics and bioscience business based on polymer chemistry; and Catalytica, Inc., developers of environmental technology. Printer began his career at Xerox Corporation where he spent 17 years, the last six as Vice President, Finance. Printer's appointment to CFO allows Autobytel.com's interim CFO, Michael J. Lowell, to return his focus to operations and development. "Michael's background enabled him to step into the role of interim CFO when we needed him, taking him away from his operational responsibilities," said Lorimer. "He's been a tremendous asset as CFO, but our need for him is greater in operations and development." |
