Description: We were somewhere between Victorville and Barstow when I looked at my wife and said, “So…do you still hate minivans?” She smiled and shrugged. Apparently, the wiles of the Toyota Sienna we were driving were enough to shake her belief that all minivans should be rounded up and sent to Pick Your Part. “Doesn’t count. This sure doesn’t feel like a minivan.” Ah. Such a back-handed compliment revealed a certain shakiness, to be sure. Yet she missed the point, obscured as she was by a personal prejudice against members of the original family road icon. The Toyota Sienna feels exactly like a minivan. A sublime minivan.
