This year, Kia will introduce the Sorento, a mid-sized SUV that has more power and size than the Sportage. Seems like Hyundai's acquisition of Kia has spurred product development. Or perhaps it's the reaction to their new vehicles -- Kia sales were up almost 40% last year, and with a new SUV on the road in 2003, they're poised to keep the momentum going.   Kia Optima   MSRP Range: $14,899 - $18,849 NO signifcant changes are planned for 2003.    Kia Rio   MSRP Range: $9,095 - $10,385 The "lowest-priced car in America" will get significant improvements in 2003, including a new and more powerful 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Also new is the front and rear-end styling.    Kia Sedona   MSRP Range: $18,995 - $20,995 No significant changes are planned for 2003.    Kia Spectra   MSRP Range: $10,995 - $13,595 No significant changes are planned for 2003.    Kia Sportage   MSRP Range: $14,645 - $18,220 The Sportage takes a sabbatical, as the Sorento will be introduced in 2003. Look for a new Sportage in 2004.  |
