Description: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: the lovely interior; SO much nicer than tawdry American interiors. The red dash lights significantly reduce night glare. The handling is precise and steady virtually all the time. One can converse or listen to music at 70mph + Least Favorite Feature: my wife's refusal to give up the wheel on trips Advice to Buyer: Negotiate hard. Get the AWD and xenon headlights, important safety features Detailed Review: I've put 9,500 miles on my 99 A6 Avant and I'm still in love with the car. I now look forward to long drives that used to be a punishing ordeal. The Audi handles beautifully in all conditions. Many, many creature comforts make the car a genuine pleasure (for example, recessed 'airline type' lights allow rear seat passengers to read without disturbing the driver.) This is a great car.
