Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Amazingly smooth ride, sound system, Overall interior comfort Least Favorite Feature: Center console storage could be larger, wish the locks would auto engage at driving speeds like my other car. Advice to Buyer: As is typical with Japanese autos you have your choice of a base model or one that is fully loaded there is no in-between. Detailed Review: Smoothest ride of any SUV I have ever driven and I have driven many. Lives up to Lexus quality and luxury reputation. Engine is suprisingly powerful for its size and will beat any other V6 and compares favorably to the V8 in the Grand Cherokee. Excellent handling on wet surfaces. Tires tested were Goodyear Integrity. Optional high end sound system is superb. Despite other 'Pro' reviews I have read it handles rough roads very well. However, his is not an off road vehicle there is no low speed transfer case. I compared and test drove it directly against a fully loaded Grand Cherokee Limited V8. The Lexus wins hands down in every category other than off road capability. Cargo room is deceptive from the outside the Lexus has as much room as the Grand Cherokee and does a better job when both are compared with the rear seats down.
