Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Reputation for dependability Least Favorite Feature: uncomfortable seats, sluggish acceleration Advice to Buyer: Test drive carefully and check to make sure it has the features you want; compare with other comparable cars like Mazda and VW Detailed Review: I owned a 1998 Honda Civic EX for a year. At first I wondered if something was wrong with it, but Honda service said no. They may not all be like this, but my copy was sluggish (despite a 126 HP Engine), larger potholes made it feel like it was bottoming out, the steering was slightly vague (though not terrible) and, for me, the seats were quite uncomfortable. The car was missing some expected features, like daytime running lights and interior lighting that stays on until you start the car. After a year, I traded it in.
