Advice to Buyer: Don't just buy it from the lot. Order it - you'll get it cheeper. Detailed Review: All I can say is that my wife and I love our '99 Odyssey! It drives like a dream, has lot's of storage space - even without putting down the 'magic' seats. There is more cargo space then any other minivan we looked at. It's quiet, smooth and safe. The power doors are not only convient they are more safe then the manual ones. I put my hand in it while it was closing and it only squeezed my hand. You can't do that with a manual door. This automobile drives and handle more like an accord than an minivan. There is no sway to it like I've experienced in other minivans. My wife has been a bit nervous about a larger car (we had an 87 Subaru GL Turbo 4WD wagon) and she took no time to get used to it's size. There is no lack of power either - it can really move if you need to go... My only regret was the I wanted it right away (didn't want to wait a few months) and probably paid too much - dealers are selling this for as much at $5000 over MSRP... so be carefull. However, you can't be too carefull because the '99 Odyssey is a hot item and you may have to wait a few months it you not willing to pay the asking price. Even over list it's less expensive then comperable top end minivans. BTW - this is a totally redesigned odyssey - nother like the 1998 (and earlier). Comfot wise, the front captains chairs could use more substantial arm rests. Otherwise, it's very comfortable. New Car Test Drive - 1998 Honda Odyssey - Practicality with more power. Base Price $26,195 As Tested $26,195 It seems as though the most logical way to really test drive a minivan is to load it full of people and possessions and take a long trip. Well that does make a lot of sense. But
