Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Automatic convenience features -- remote control mirrors, windows, door locks, excellent driving position. Trunk extension into passenger compartment. Least Favorite Feature: Total lockout when key is not available. Can't get out of PARK, push, roll windows up/down, read odometer/trip meters, etc. etc. Advice to Buyer: If considering the top model with large complement of extra features, consider spending a little more and getting a basic Camry. Detailed Review: Very quiet, smooth running engine. Comfortable seats in the front. Leg room good for this size car but marginally adequate for a tall person. Power with 4-speed automatic is adequate but not outstanding. Annoying hunting by transmission on even moderate hills. Disconnecting overdrive doesn't help, as it does in the Camry, for example. Difficult-to-access oil filter; a major problem for the owner who routinely changes own oil. Very poorly documented owner's manual. Virtually nothing about engine specifications and other technical data. Service manual that could relieve this problem is prohibitively expensive.
