Description: Overall Rating: Comfort Rating: Performance Rating: Quality Rating: Appearance Rating: Favorite Feature: Aggresive stance and solid feel. Great ground clearance and driver visability. Least Favorite Feature: Mileage. Not enough Advice to Buyer: This vehicle is for people who want a safe, simple, reliable go everywhere for anything vehicle. Detailed Review: Although there is no mistake that the 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD edition is essentially a truck, the ride remains comfortable and solid. For 2 years and 36000 miles, my 4Runner has taken the beatings it's been given by the rough country roads and road/weather conditions of rural West Virginia's mountains. It's hauled everything from lumber to children and, with very little effort, it has remained a reliable and attractive vehicle. There are no little annoyances on the 4Runner. Everything is where it needs to be to keep the driver and the passengers comfortable and safe. My 4Runner has yet to give me any mechanical difficulties and I have yet to use my warranty to fix ANY problems... because so far there haven't been any problems. The gas mileage is so-so, but if I would slow down a little bit now and then, maybe I could make a galon go a little farther! BUY A 4RUNNER -- you won't be disappointed.
