$15 Billion European Bank Deal Expected

| ONDON, July 25 - Banco Santander Central Hispano agreed on Sunday to buy Abbey National of Britain, in a mostly stock deal worth more than £8.5 billion ($15.6 billion), according to two executives close to the negotiations. |
